I am looking for a new home for my Chihuahua Dachshund mix Boston. He is about 2 years old, happy, healthy, current on vaccinations.
I adopted him from the Mother Lode Animal Outreach about a year ago. Since then I had some major changes in my work and home life and realized that Boston deserves a family that has more time for him.
Boston is about 10 pounds of adorable puppy love. He follows me around the house and aspires to be a lap dog. On the energy scale 0-10 he is 8-9, needs regular walks, has good leash manners and enjoys trips to the park. He knows to fetch the ball and is an intrepid runner. He knows basic obedience, comes back reliably when called. Loves to ride in the car and traveled on vacations with us. Sheds very little and doesn’t require much grooming.
Boston would do best as a companion dog for a moderately active family or a single person. He is confident, does great with other dogs and lives with a female cat. He is well socialized, spends time around young children, doesn’t bark unless absolutely necessary. He would be ok by himself for 6-7 hours in a crate or enclosed environment. He likes his chew bones and should not be left alone with shoes or children’s stuffed animals. Absolutely no food, toy or any kind of aggression.
I would love to offer you a two week trial period if needed and will consider taking Boston in if you need to go on vacation.
