Dear Fat Kitty City Supporters,
We are so very grateful to our friends and supporters for making our food drive a success this year!
Our goal was to collect $5,000 to purchase super nutritious feline food and to gather 4,000 pounds of dry and canned food in collection bins throughout the County.
Thanks to your generosity we succeeded in our goal: Over $6,000 in cash donations was received and 3,200 pounds of cat food was donated!
This is fantastic news for Fat Kitty City. It means that we will have enough food in our pantry to feed our kitties for the next 6 months! They will continue to enjoy wet and dry food, and be fed twice daily. Our feeders are very grateful too as it is a joy to see how excited our cats get at feeding time. Being able to feed super nutritious food means our cats stay healthy and our at-risk felines have the food they need to thrive.
We appreciate everyone who donated food or funding – and every business that allowed us to leave a collection bin at their location. Indeed, our cats are very blessed to have a caring and giving community!
With much gratitude from Janna Buwalda & Pam Smit, Food Drive Chairpersons, Fat Kitty City Volunteers and, of course, the cats!
