We got a call from a kind couple who had been caring for a stray female cat (Blackie II) that had recently wandered into their yard. The couple noticed that she had a growth on her face, so they took her to the vet. The vet said that Blackie II needed surgery to remove the cyst, and needed some testing as well. The couple could not afford Blackie II’s vet care, but wanted her to have a good life and to get the surgery she so desperately needed. They contacted us at Fat Kitty City. We took in Blackie, paid for her surgery through our Elf Fund, and provided the aftercare she needed. And, we are happy to report, Blackie II is doing wonderfully!
The next step for Blackie II is to find a loving home. She is appx. 10 years old and an absolute sweetheart! She purrs every time she sees someone! Contact us if you are interested in adopting Blackie II or fostering her through the Kitties for Companionship program.
