Somersalt is Ready for Adoption!

March 15, 2020 by Gina Woods-Norris 1 Comment

“Somersalt” was rescued from a neglectful situation in early February. Thanks to the help of dedicated animal welfare volunteers who saw her plight posted on Facebook this helpless cat was rescued. And, after some much needed TLC, major grooming, eye surgery and dental work, Somersalt is now ready for her forever home!

Somersalt is a 7.5 year young female cat whose primary breed is Persian. She has a beautiful white coat (with hints of blond), fluffy long hair (when it grows out!) and is very affectionate and people-oriented. She prefers a quiet home where she can spend the day with her new forever person(s). She craves love and affection from her foster parents and will seek them out for sitting on a lap or nuzzling beside them.

Somersalt is still a bit hand-shy so let her smell your hand before petting. She will rub her cheeks on you and purr loudly for more love and affection. Sudden movements and loud noises may frighten her so she needs a home without children. Ideally, a peaceful environment with a single person or couple – and no other pets.

Somersalt’s favorite activity is “lap-sitting” yet she is content to sit beside you if you’re busy on your computer. She adores her heating pad so she will always need access to heat when a warm lap is not available. She is very polite, enjoys playtime with interactive toys and faithfully uses her scratching post and litterbox.

Somersalt is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, parasite-treated and tested NEGATIVE for FIV/FeLV & tick-borne illnesses. Her eye surgery corrected Entropion lids (Right eye only), she was also treated for corneal damage in both eyes and received a dental (one tooth extracted). Of course, some scar tissue in her eyes will remain but she can see well and has no other known medical issues.
Somersalt’s adoption fee is $150. If interested in adopting Somersalt please contact Julie at 916-599-1206 (text/call) and fill out an application at https://fatkittycity.org/adoption-form/
