An Invitation from a Friend of Fat Kitty City

April 28, 2015 by Gina Woods-Norris Leave a Comment

We would like to share an email from Kritika Bala, a very talented local artist. She is a friend of Fat Kitty City. We are so excited about her recent accomplishment!

Dear Friends

I am writing to invite you to my first international art exhibition – the Parallax Art Fair in London. I am very excited about this opportunity, and I am hoping to see you there.

For those of you that do not know me, I am an artist-cum-engineer currently living in Northern California. I am originally from India, and found my voice as an artist while trying to find ways to give back to society. I donate the proceeds of all sales and commissions to non-profits engaged in wildlife and environment conservation and animal welfare. More information about my art work is available on my website: https://lonetigerart.com

The Parallax Art Fair is one of the largest art fairs in Europe. I was invited to participate and was accepted as an exhibitor at the 13th edition of the fair to be held in London, UK, on 24-26 July, 2015. More information about the fair can be found here: https://www.parallaxaf.co

The stories and inspiration behind the work I will be bringing to London is here: https://lonetigerart.com/the-state-of-home/

I see that it is no small matter to cross the oceans for something like an art fair. This is a big deal for me, since I never expected to be traveling cross continent with my art work. No doubt you have been on this journey with me, and have influenced and inspired me along the way. For that, thank you. It would be wonderful to see you in London, but I understand if you cannot make it. I would, however, be very grateful if you could forward this letter to any of your contacts that might be interested in attending the event in London.

For my new friends: I would have liked to deliver this invitation to you personally. However, my wondrous journey in this wondrous universe has not yet allowed me to make that connection. I am hoping that perhaps this will be that connection. It would be lovely to see you there and make acquaintance.

Date/Time: 24-26 July, 2015
Friday, 24th, 7:30-9:30pm: Private viewing (invitation only)
Saturday, 25th, 11am-5pm: Open to public.
Sunday, 25th, 11am-5pm: Open to public.
Venue: Chelsea Town Hall, London SW3 5EE
Event Website: https://www.parallaxaf.co/index.html
Event Tickets: https://www.parallaxaf.co/tickets.html

Note that there is no fee to attend, these are just Eventbrite tickets.
If you would like to attend the private viewing on the 24th, please send an email to privateviews@barlowfinedrawings.com by July 15th indicating your intention to attend, let them know that you will attend as my (Kritika Bala) guest. Please copy me on that email (kritika.bala2010@gmail.com) so I can follow up on the same as needed.

Thanks a lot.

Sincerely,
Kritika
