Today we’re launching a new fundraising campaign called “PowerUP Fat Kitty City” to help raise funds to install solar panels at our Sanctuary.
Not only will this save our nonprofit thousands of dollars each year, help protect us from possible future PG&E shutoffs, but, most importantly, solar energy is a truly renewable energy source.
Because Fat Kitty City is also on well water, the power shutoffs put an additional strain on our ability to help care for the cats in our care.
Our faithful and valued volunteers often have to care for the cats at the Sanctuary in the dark, and having reliable power that we can use for our lighting is so important, especially during the fall and winter.
To help us accomplish this project, Fat Kitty City has been given an incredible gift. Through the generosity of the Latrobe Foundation, we have been offered matching funds up to $10,000 for this project.
This means if we can raise a total of $10,000 by December 31st, the Latrobe Foundation will match it dollar for dollar, providing up with the potential of $20,000 towards the total estimated costs of $50,000 to install the solar panels.
Please help us to powerUP our Sanctuary by donating today!
