Meet Moonshadow– He is a beautiful Maine Coon that was abandoned over a year ago. He wandered the streets, looking for food and love. A couple saw him around the neighborhood (not belonging to anyone) and started feeding him. They couldn’t let him inside, since they had older cats that were not doing well.
One morning when she went out to feed Moonshadow, she saw him in the gutter. As she approached, he got up and scattered under their gate, only to flop himself onto their back patio. Every time he tried to stand up, he would fall down. They thought he had been poisoned or something.
They called us (they follow our website) and asked if we could help. Upon examination, our vet said he either had a broken or fractured pelvis. It was obvious he had been a victim of a “hit and run” accident. After the vet saw Moonshadow, he prescribed two weeks of bed rest, plenty of food and TLC.
We are happy to announce that Moonshadow has totally recovered and is now up for adoption!
