FROM SEWER TO SAVING…STORMY gets a CHANCE
On a simple evening stroll, Kaci and her son went out for a walk. Then what to their wondering ears should they hear??? Cries from kittens, hungry and alone, in a sewer pipe in El Dorado Hills. Kaci called EDH Animal Control, the Fire Department and Sewer and Irrigation; and, all told her they would not/could not help. So she dropped a can through the sewer grate that thankfully landed upright, and they provided water in the can and food every day. She continued to call rescues asking for help, but no one answered their phones. No one returned calls. No one returned emails. Fat Kitty City was the only one who called back, provided advice and then the rescue that would save STORMY the kitten.
Unfortunately, Stormy’s brother would pass before rescue came. Ed from Fat Kitty City, would go several times to the site, remove the several hundred pound sewer cover, drop a trap, check the trap, check again and again…until STORMY found his way inside the trap. Today, STORMY is being pampered, spoiled, loved, and protected by Kaci and her daughter and son, the very good Samaritans who took the time to answer a cry from kittens for help. And, who never gave up looking for that person or group who were willing to help. It looks like STORMY has a sassy future of spoiling for a long time to come.
Thank you Kaci, her son, daughter & Fat Kitty City’s, Ed Minghelli, for another Happy Ending!
